Women’s Tennis Apparel Buying Tips
When buying women’s tennis apparel, you should be choosy when picking out your tennis apparel. For example, when picking out women’s skirts, you need to rely on comfort. You need to be able to play without any restrictions in your movement. Tennis is a lot of fun, but in order to enoy the game, you need to be able to move freely.
According to Sydney Jordan’s Oudoor Sports Gear Site collared shirts is the best way to go when picking out shirts. I do not disagree with that assumption. However, I do like to wear a variety of tennis clothing. It is a matter of personal taste, whatever style of clothing that one should wear as long as it is in good taste and not offensive to anyone. If you are comfortable with what you are wearing, there should be no problem with the women’s tennis apparel of your choice.
Comfortable Women Tennis Apparel
Everyone likes comfort, particularly if you are playing sports. You do not want to be bothered with clothing that is out of style or is not suited for your sport. Tennis clothing manufacturers pay professional tennis players huge sums of money to endorse their products. Women’s tennis apparel has changed since the 1860’s when the women were forced to wear long dresses that were made of heavy cumbersome material.
Today, women’s tennis apparel is a lot more comfortable than it was in the early years of tennis. Women tennis players are now allowed to play with many different styles and brands of comfortable fitting clothing. Women tennis players should know the different tennis apparel that are available to them. For example, know some of the different tennis apparel terms like the difference between a skirt or skort. The way you can tell the difference is that most tennis skirts have built-in shorties or compression shorts and this is the reason they are called tennis skorts. The addition of this item of clothing has resulted in a more comfortable item of clothing for tennis.
Women’s Tennis Apparel – Polo Shirts
Today there is a variety of Women’s Tennis Apparel, like the polo shirts for tennis. The polo shirts can be worn for any informal occasion besides tennis and virtually every major clothier has their own line of tennis shirts. The Women’s Polo Shirts are worn for non-athletic activity as well. It is accepted attire for the workplace and for attending sporting events. It is common to see polo shirts worn for just about any activity.
You need a comfortable shirt to play in when you are playing tennis and the polo shirt is ideal because it is lightweight and it doesn’t restrict movement. While playing tennis, it is good to have clothing that is easy to maintain and attactive as well.
Women’s Tennis Attire
Tennis attire for women has changed dramatically over the years. I would like to credit Suzanne Lenglen for being a pioneer in that regard. Suzanne Lenglen was a French nationalist hero who dominated women’s tennis from 1919 to 1926. She won both Wimbledon and French singles titles six times. The women’s tennis apparel at the time consisted of a wide brimmed bonnet for sun protection, a short sleeved white blouse, and a mid-calf white cotton skirt.
I consider Ms. Lenglen a pioneer because of her controversial attire in 1920 in the Wimbledon Finals, when she wore a short skirt. She helped bring tennis to the forefront because she would not go with the protocol and therefore today’s female tennis players are not afraid to become fashionable and comfortable at the same time.
